50 years aged to perfection!

There is this amazing man named Andrew in my life who usually washes all the dishes once I'm finished baking & playing with sugar in our kitchen. I have known him  for 12 years so far & have watched him age better then the finest wine you will ever find. For about 4 years now I had this idea of making a wine bottle cake for him and finally the day came!! I think I was more excited to make his cake then he was about celebrating 50 years! hahaha Vanilla/chocolate marble cake, buttercream icing, fondant, toasted shredded coconut, gold edible spray, & edible image! I'd have to say the toasted coconut was the bomb!!

Everyone should have an amazing half century cake instead of the typical over the hill stuff. 50 is so classy & fabulous! I arranged a small surprise party at a local winery restaurant. We had a blast with some close friends and the cake tasted amazing! Here's to your next 50 years my love!! Bring on that full century cake!!! Any ideas on the cake design for that one?

The only thing I would change is making the lettering on the label darker. I couldn't fix it once it was printed & didn't realize it would come out so light. It says: Murray Vineyards, Aged 50 years to perfection, Andrew, 1964

Seriously just look at him? Oh my...& he's all mine! :)

Monogram Sprinkles Cake

Sprinkles are so simply and super fun! We celebrated my daughters 9th birthday and had more sprinkles then we knew what to do with. They are so used to huge cakes & parties but we decided on something more simply this year. She loved it. Chocolate/Strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream icing, sprinkles & chocolate candy balls around the bottom.
